At the Community Table

At the Community Table

This week, we welcome Green 13! Come say hello on the Train Platform, and learn about neighbourhood stewardship. Green 13 are seeking volunteers to help water Junction area street trees. There are still about 50 trees in the Junction that need to be “adopted”. The community lost 25% of its trees after last year’s drought. Our trees need all the help they can get!

Music To Your Ears

Music to Your Ears

Banjo George returns once again with his finger-pickin’ and sing-alongs at the Junction Train Platform this Saturday from 9 am – 1 pm.

We love having George and we hope you and the kids will come along to sing with us. He loves getting requests, so don’t forget to bring those with you, too!

JFM Opening Day! – May 25, 2019

OPENING DAY IS ALMOST HERE!

THIS COMING SATURDAY is our very first market day for the 2019 season! Stop by the Junction Train Platform between 9 am-1 pm for the freshest foods of the season!

Come get your shopping started this week with our hardworking local farmers: Fiddlehead Farm, Kendal Hills Farm, Oakridges Finest, Twin Creeks Farm, Willo’ Wind Farm, and Wheelbarrow Farm. There is, as always, many other local delights to take home with you: honey and specialty products from Toronto Bee Rescue, organic artisan breads and pastries from de la terre bakery, fine farm-grown preserves and foods from Spade & Spoon, and goat and buffalo cheese from the Fifth Town Artisan Cheese Company.

Whether you’re looking for breakfast, brunch, lunch or just something to nibble on while you shop, we have everything from breaky sandwiches and hot turnovers to comfort foods and paleo eats n’ treats! Grab a tasty delight from The Urban Swine, Popover Girl, Leo & Co. Bakery, Malty & Hoppy Delicacy, and Sweet Seduction.

Enjoy taking home Windswept Cider after asking about their Lost Orchard Project. And, learn about Leaning Post Wines‘ Freaks and Geeks while choosing from their bottled vintage.
