Board of Directors

The Junction Farmers Market is an independent incorporated non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.

We're looking for new Board Members!

We are at an exciting time in our organization and we are looking for self-motivated individuals who are passionate about local food and who want to help the Junction achieve its goals. We are particularly interested in hearing from people with the following skills and experience:

  • Communications/marketing/event planning
  • Volunteer recruitment and support
  • Strategic planning
  • Risk management
  • Finance/accounting

Anyone who is passionate about local food, farming, food security and interested in becoming involved with the Junction community is encouraged to apply! Previous experience on a board is not required, although it would be an asset. 


  • Ability to work well in a highly collaborative team setting
  • Enthusiasm, determination and eager to contribute to our organization
  • Willingness to learn quickly, acquire new skill sets, and take on new tasks
  • Can help support and value our great volunteers and community partners


  • The average time commitment of a Board Member is about 3-5 hrs/month, including the following responsibilities
  • Attend monthly Board Meetings, held on a week night
  • Additional work in between Board meetings, as determined by organizational needs and events
