Saturday mornings at the market are getting more colourful and vibrant! Join us for our weekly neighbourhood farmers market at the Junction Train Platform 9 am – 1 pm to continue the celebration of local food, music and community. You’ll find the freshest seasonal produce, tasty artisan goods, sweet entertainment, and other excitement.

Get your weekly local veggies, eggs, cheese, bread, honey, preserves, mushrooms and meat from our wonderful local farmers and food artisans: Bizjak Farms, de la terre bakery, Fiddlehead Farm, The Fresh Veggies, Homegrown Produce, Kendal Hills Farm, Oakridges Finest, Robinson Bread, Toronto Bee Rescue, Twin Creeks Farm, The Smoke Bloke, Willo’ Wind Farm, and Wheelbarrow Farm. Learn more about our JFM vendors on our website!

There are tasty treats for everyone to bring home or enjoy while you shop! This week, grab some breakie by Dvourr or a sumptuous baked treat from Mittens Muffins or Root Farm Baked Goods. Returning this week, We-Hub presents “Made for You” meals offering dietarily-mindful specialties like their popular quiches. Pick up a delicious grain-free, gluten-free treat from Little Almond Baking. And, enjoy Bayfield Provisions slow roasted, made by hand granola specialties, featuring Deebs Yogurt.

In the Community Corner….

Music to your ears –

Matt Bates is a solo artist in the singer-songwriter style with a principal radio category of adult contemporary. Matt’s songs are about relationships, art, and personal enlightenment – feel-good hummable tunes. Matt has lived in Toronto most of his life, most recently in the Junction area before moving to his new home in the country north of Orangeville.

Jason Hogan composes for film and television and also has a hair-brained (but very entertaining) side project, ‘Father’ Seamus O’Leary.

Stop by the train platform to listen to Jason & Matt while you munch on delicious market delights!

At the Community Table –

Staff from the City of Toronto’s Solid Waste Management Services will be available to answer any questions about garbage, recycling, and organic waste in the City. They will have plenty of information on proper sorting, where popular waste items belong, and key messages that residents should know about their household waste. Learn about the City of Toronto’s 3Rs Ambassador Volunteer Program, and stop by to play an interactive game to win some cool prizes!
