  • « Market Day – Sept 21st
  • Market Day – Oct 5th »

An apple a day…keeps tummies and hearts happy! Come out Saturday morning to celebrate all the goodness that Farmers’ Markets bring to the neighbourhood! Join us for our weekly farmers market at the Junction Train Platform,  9 am – 1 pm to continue your celebration of the season with local food, music and community. You’ll find the freshest seasonal produce, tasty artisan goods, sweet entertainment, and other diversions.

Get your weekly local veggies, eggs, cheese, bread, honey, preserves, mushrooms and meat from our wonderful local farmers and food artisans: Bizjak Farms, de la terre bakery, Fiddlehead Farm, Fifthtown Artisan Cheese, Kendal Hills Farm, Oakridges Finest, Spade and Spoon, Twin Creeks Farm, Willo’ Wind Farm, and Wheelbarrow Farm. Learn more about our JFM vendors on our website!

Enjoy Market Day treats while you shop or bring ’em home to delight! Get your hands on a neighbourhood-famed breakie sandwich by The Urban Swine, and a baked treat from Root Farm Baked Goods. Check out this week’s pop-up vendor, Bayfield Provisions and their slow roasted, made by hand granola specialties, featuring Deebs Yogurt. Say hello to Chef Francoise Briet of Malty & Hoppy Delicacy with her Ontario craft beer-infused artisanal treats. And, get the scoop on her autumn-themed recipe, Baked apples stuffed with pecans and American Pale Ale Beer Jelly. Yum! Windswept Orchard Cider is back, sporting beautiful craft cider hues. Be sure to ask Fiona about their kombucha too! Bolo Soups brings us vegan and vegetarian cozy soup selections served up with de la terre bakery bread n’ butter. And, we welcome Real Empanada with their delicious baked pockets. Let’s Craft It! is back with their natural soaps and detergent in the spirit of JFM’s GO Green campaign. Nagesh is also toting Georgian Bay honey, honey comb + spreads this week. Yum!

Be sure  to sign up for our weekly market e-newsletter to hear about what’s on and what’s new for each Saturday market!

In the Community Corner….

Music to your ears –

Micah Sky is a Toronto based singer/songwriter, producer and multi instrumentalist. Starting with piano lessons at age 7, then moving into production in his teenage years, he has grown steadily as a musician over the last two decades, teaching himself drums, guitar, and singing. When he’s not home practicing or producing, you can hear him performing in Toronto with Dave Borins or David Celia at The Cameron House, or doing summer festival circuits with The Conor Gains Band. Check out Micah’s performance on the train platform this Saturday, 9am to 1pm!

At the Community Table –

This week, Secondhand Sunday is at the train platform! Sunday, September 29th is your chance to share any unwanted, reusable items. Simply leave them on your property next to the sidewalk or curb for your neighbours to take for free. That thing your neighbour no longer wants could be exactly what you need too. Learn more at the market this Saturday!
