Working towards being a sustainable, zero waste farmers market

Zero Waste is in our Hands!

With the support of the City of Toronto through its Waste Reduction Community Grants, we are proud to launch our GO GREEN campaign this September and we invite you to join us! We have a few new sustainability programs, which includes reusable foodware and bag exchange programs, as well asrevamping our waste management system.

Zero waste champions will also be joining us at our GO GREEN Community Corner each week:
September 8 – Feed It Forward
September 15 – The Spent Goods Company & Cathy’s Crawly Composters
September 22 – Free Geek Toronto with an e-waste drive! Bring your unwanted electronics and join the Facebook event here.
September 29 – Boomerang Bags & Secondhand Sunday (takes place Sep. 30th!)
October 6 – Repair Cafe Toronto with a take-apart activation for the kiddos!
October 13 – Bare Market
October 20 – TBD
October 27 – TBD
November 3 – TBD

GO GREEN with the Junction Farmers Market

This Fall JFM is proud to be launching our GO GREEN campaign which comprises of  all the things we are doing to work towards being a sustainable, zero waste farmers market.

We will have a new reusable foodware program, a new reusable bag program, a revamped waste management program, and an exciting schedule of zero waste advocates to take up space out our Community Corner.
